Carnelian

Carnelian is known as an energy stone. It's source is in creativity: creative solutions for problems, creative inspiration, quick creative starts to projects and creative completions. All this energy drives away lethargy, anxiety, sadness, addictions and procrastination.  Best of all it improves our persistence especially in mundane situations, everyday situations that zap our well being. A very durable and beautiful stone it makes lovely jewelry and stone to skin is the best way to use it. It is one of my favorites.

Black tourmaline-schorl

Sometimes we are in situations that make us feel drained, edgy or unsafe. There are many stones and crystals that have protective qualities. The most powerful of these is the Black Tourmaline. This bad boy is the mineral worlds body guard, taking negative energy and reflecting it away, often back to its source. It strengthens, grounds and increases energy as well. Pieces are inexpensive and easy to acquire. This photo is my home specimen. 😀

Labradorite

Labradorite stabilizes and balances our energy in a very powerful way, having both the fire of the sun and the water of the moon captured in its luminescence. With equilibrium, we are now able to be present in "this moment". It also assists our ability to have an open mind, reflecting on all possibilities. This beautiful stone is associated with Welsh Goddesses and is lovely in jewelry.

Mantra:a mini affirmation

Using a mantra is the simplest form of prayer I know. "Basically, any mantra is “a sound, syllable, word, or group of words that is considered capable of ‘creating transformation.’” Yowangdu.  To practice with a mantra all you do is repeat your chosen word or words, a few times or several times daily. I love this practice because you can do it anywhere, anytime.
Choosing what mantra to use is as simple as finding a word that expresses your feelings, goals, theme or inspiration. Think of it as a mini affirmation: simple, direct, concise, one or two powerful words with a positive charge. You can change it daily or contemplate one for a period of time...the choice is yours.
The Buddha said "with our thoughts, we make the world." So set your intention, choose your mantra and off you go.

Aragonite

Aragonite relieves stress and anger caused by overwhelming responsibilities. It also provides answers and patience to accomplish those tasks. This is a perfect stone for caregivers, especially when used in combination with tiger eye and bloodstone in a grid or medicine bag. In it's starburst formation it is lovely to look at making it a perfect meditation tool.

Amazonite

Amazonite is a soothing cool blue/green stone that evokes the peaceful rhythmic energy of the ocean. Associated with universal love it re-energizes weary hearts and souls. This is the most relaxing, chill pill, ahh, bliss stone I know. Try wearing a pendant or bracelet of this mellow stone the next time you feel stressed or frazed.

Moonstone

Tonight, April 15th in the early am hours there is a total lunar eclipse. This means that the sun, earth and moon are lined up with the earth temporarily blocking the suns light from the moons surface. Lunar events are a perfect opportunity to use or wear moonstone.
Moonstone is a lovely stone for enhancing intuition, safe travel and hopes. When worn or held during meditation it focuses the feminine energy of ones spirit. If you are looking to draw the Goddess into your life this is a good stone to begin with due to it's nurturing qualities. It comes in shades of white, pink, grey, cream and with rainbows.
If you are interested in making a lunar rosary for meditation, the numbers 19 for the years it takes the moon to travel across the sky from closest point to earth and back or 28 for the number of days in a lunar month, will instill your beads with meaning, along with the metaphysical and electromagnetic influences moonstone naturally has.
Moonstone is inexpensive and readily available in jewelry, at your local mineral shop and beading suppliers. I hope you have the chance to find the perfect piece of lunar moonstone for yourself.
